Whaley's impressive debut in the CFL'S top Division is now recognised by the call up of the League's current 'top' Hit Man Lee Morris and wide boys Bill Sutton & Matt Brown into the Cheshire League's squad for the forthcoming North West Inter League Trophy Semi Final, 2nd Leg.

14/11/12 19:45 - Glossop North End (First) VS Whaley Bridge Athletic (First)
After defeating Belper in the preliminary round and then South Normanton (both Central Midlands Sth) in the 1st Round proper WBAFC is now creating yet more Club history by being drawn against North West Counties Football League Club Glossop North End in Round 2.
Not only is this the Club's 1st ever foray into the Derbyshire Senior Cup but this is the 1st time we have played against a team of this standing; Glossop are currently mid-table in the NWCFL Premier Division which is in the league below fellow Derbyshire Cup contenders New Mills who are a division below Buxton in the Northern Premier.
