Whaley Bridge 1 - 1 Dove Holes
Whaley just failed to clinch an historic treble only achieved once before by the team of 1974. Congratulations go to Rob Morrissey and his industrious young Dove Team who came back from a goal down to eventually win after extra time and penalties.

Whaley Bridge are aiming to make this the most successful season ever (click here to see prcvious Club Honours) on Friday evening when we take on Dove Holes in the Lawrence Cup Final. A team including veteran Neil Longden, 25 years a WBAFC player, and some fresh faced yougsters managed to get past a strong Dronfield Woodhouse 2-1 in the semi final. |

The outcome on Friday does depend on what team beleaguered management team Darryl Hall and Jon Brogden can patch up on the day; fingers crossed! However there is no doubt that, as with the semi-final, whoever plays will be a credit to Whaley Bridge AFC and the strength of the squad will make this another competative exciting game
